"In and Around Bluemont"

Directions to BLUEMONT

Orientation. Bluemont lies about midway between Purcellville and Berryville off Route 7, on the east side of Mount Weather.

From the East. Take Route 7 West, past Leesburg, past Purcellville, past the Round Hill turnoff. Pass Yellow Schoolhouse Road on the left, Hill High store on the right, and Williams Gap Road on the right, at the foot of Mount Weather. Move to the left lane as you go up hill prepare to to make a left hand turn at Clayton Hall Road. Stop at the median and make the left turn, looking carefully for traffic oncoming on your right. Snickersville Turnpike makes a T at the foot of the hill. Beautiful Clayton Hall is on your right. The Snickersville store is in front of you. Turn left.

The OLD DANCE HALL is a quarter-block further on your right (33735 Snickersville Turnpike, Bluemont, Virginia, 20135).

The BLUEMONT COMMUNITY CENTER is about a half-mile from Clayton Hall Road on the left (33846 Snickersville Turnpike, Bluemont, VA 20135).

From the West. Take Route 7 East past Berryville. Cross the Shenandoah River and crest Mount Weather. It is best to pass the entrance to Snickersville Turnpike and come to Clayton Hall Road on the right. Snickersville Turnpike makes a T at the foot of the hill. Beautiful Clayton Hall is on your right. The Snickersville store is in front of you. Turn left. The Old Dance Hall is a quarter-block further on your right (33735 Snickersville Turnpike, Bluemont, Virginia, 20135).

Directions to GREAT COUNTRY FARMS, the Stable, Bluemont Vinyard

Orientation. Great Country Farms lies on Foggy Bottom Road, off Snickersville Turnpike, just Southeast of Bluemont.

From Bluemont. Take Snickersville Turnpike through the environs of Bluemont, less than 1 mile. Turn right on Foggy Bottom Road. In less than 1 mile, Great Country Farms is on the left and the Bluemont Vinyard and Stable are to the right. (If you hit the sharp turn to the left on Foggy Botton Road you have gone too far.) Drive up the gravel driveway to the Bluemont Vinyard and Stable.

From the East. Take Snickersville Turnpike from Aldie (Route 50) or take St. Louis Road to Snickersville Turnpike. You will pass Calumet Road on the right just before you come to Foggy Bottom Road on the left.
